FLexercise Member of the Month – December

On International Volunteer day we’d like to recognise Maureen Gilhoolt as our FLexercise member of the month.

Maureen has been a Barnado’s volunteer for 30 years and is currently the secretary of her local Barnado’s group.  She recently turned 70, and because of the amazing charity work she does she was invited to an afternoon tea party hosted by Prince Charles. There are only 6 of them on the committee and they raise funds by hosting coffee mornings, selling bric-a-brac and knitted items at craft markets and jumble sales.

Maureen has been a FLexercise member for a number of years and she now attends Anna Marie’s class in Hempton, Norfolk.  Although they missed her in class that day they all felt she had a good excuse!

Congratulations Maureen!IMG 4676 (Edited) So many charities rely on volunteers and what a difference you are making to children’s lives. Every month we like to recognise a class member. Do you have somebody in mind that you’d like to put forward? Their story doesn’t have to be big, it may be that they were there for you at a time when you needed support or encouraged you in class.
